Noemi Purkrábková
I am a media theoretician, art writer, curator, DJ and co-founder of BCAAsystem, an amorphous audio-visual collective exploring future territories somewhere between music and visual arts. As an editor of Art Antiques magazine, I regularly contribute to this and several others publications. Currently, I am a PhD candidate at the Film Studies department of the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague, theorizing the opaque poetics of digital fiction and researching the ontogenetic qualities of contemporary generative images both outside and within contemporary moving image art. I also work as a curator of Holešovická šachta gallery and curate independently – both alone and as a part of the experimental curatorial platform Proto Gallery Systems. Additionally, I enjoy writing (and sometimes lending my voice to) more artistic or poetic texts for video voiceovers and narrative audio works.
